As you are aware, the Centers for Disease Control has issued “social distancing” guidelines amid continuing concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic.
As such, Cleeton Davis Court Reporters can provide either videoconferencing or telephone conferencing for your depositions, to ensure that your depositions can continue to move forward while keeping all participants as safe as possible during this outbreak. During this time, we will waive videoconferencing setup fees.
If all parties have access to a computer with Wifi connection, we can set up a Zoom videoconference so that each participant can attend depositions remotely. The witness will need to have a PC or iPad with a web camera in order for the participants to see him/her. We will provide you with a link to access the conference, as well as a meeting ID, and all participants would log in from their own computers.
Alternatively, we can set up a telephone conference for depositions. We would provide a call-in number and access code for all participants to join a deposition telephonically.
All licensed Tennessee court reporters can swear witnesses in remotely per a Tennessee Attorney General opinion.
Please contact our office to set up your remote deposition, and we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you, and stay safe during this continuing crisis.
